The CV Instalaciones group, is participating in the building of a desalination plant that ABENGOA is carrying out in Morocco. More specifically, carrying out the engineering and construction of eight low voltage Motor Control Centers (MCC). Of the eight motor control centers, five are 690V and three are 400V.
As ABENGOA itself points out in a statement: 'The project, which includes the option of running on wind energy, consequently satisfies both the water needs for domestic consumption, as well as the irrigation needs of the Agadir region, at the same time contributing to the development of the main economic impulses, the agricultural and tourist sectors, and to the conservation of the aquifers in the area, avoiding over-exploitation. '
It is the largest desalination plant designed and conceived for the combined use of drinking water and irrigation. Specifically, it consists of the development of a desalination plant with a total production capacity of 275,000 m3 of desalinated water per day, which will be the largest plant designed and conceived for these uses.
